Mojmír Bártek is a trombone soloist and experienced orchestral player who performed in several bands and orchestras. In Gustav Brom Big Band, his engagement lasted 42 years and he plays with the band as a guest up to now. Mojmír Bártek is the founder of All Stars Band in Brno, the Brno Conservatory Orchestra and also leads a band of young musicians The Young Pekáč.

He attended many international tours with the world's leading jazz personalities, e.g. the trio Suprimes, Maynard Ferguson, one-month tour with Ray Conni orchestra and accompanied Shirley Bassey on her tour.

His composing and arranging activities are diverse - the vast majority of songs from the jazz and modern dance music is supplemented by titles from the eld of classical music, chamber music (Trio pro dechové nástroje, Jarní imprese, Brass konverzace, Ritmo Bombastico), compositions for large orchestras (Malovánky, Ogarský tanec, Hrací kostka) and works for children (piano miniatures, pieces for ute, violonccelo, trumpet, etc.).

His compositions are recorded in the Czech Radio, Czech television and on compact discs (CD Trombone Summit in Brno).

At present, among others, as an external lecturer at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, regularly (more than 25 years) as a lecturer at the Jazz Workshop in Frýdlant in Bohemia. He is a member of the International Association of Trombone. He is conductor at Brno Conservatory Big Band.
